Under the Airports Act 1996, both Gold Coast and Townsville airports are required to produce a Master Plan every eight years, encompassing a 20-year period.
Public Consultation on the Preliminary Draft Gold Coast Airport Master Plan 2024 was completed in mid-2024, and a copy of the document can be found here. We extend our thanks to all community members, stakeholders, and organisations who provided valuable feedback and insights on the Preliminary Draft during the public consultation period. The Draft Master Plan is subject to the approval ofthe Federal Minister for Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development andLocal Government.
