ASIC Applications

Queensland Airports Limited (QAL) is an authorised ASIC issuing body, with a dedicated office on the Gold Coast to support airport workers and contractors with the application process for an Airport Security Identification Card (ASIC). Our office allows applicants to submit, manage and receive ASICs efficiently, ensuring they have the identification required to work safely and securely in airside and sterile areas of our airports. Each of our ports act as an ASIC agent, providing local assistance with the application and collection process.

  • A baggage handler
  • An airport security guard
  • A passenger screening officer
  • An eligible Australian Border Force officer
  • Performing a verifier role
  • Working in a specific security sensitive role such as known consignor, regulated air cargo agents, accredited air cargo agents, or visitor identification card issuer

An ASIC is valid for 2 years.
