After completing a General Arts degree at the University of Florida, USA I started working as a travel agent at STA Travel. I travelled extensively with STA Travel and ended up in Sydney, managing a STA branch. I then realised the my passion was in marketing so I decided to complete my Masters of Commerce in Marketing at the University of New South Wales whilst continuing to work in various positions in the travel industry. Upon completion of my degree, I worked with Tourism Australia in the International Operations Department where I developed an understanding of marketing co-operatives and the importance of aviation in the tourism industry. After deciding on a lifestyle change and wanting to move to the Gold Coast now have the privilege for working with QAL in the Business Development and Marketing team. |

Been addressed by the American Marines as Sir Richard Sir after a joint American and Australian exercise in Rockhampton |

AGH is a family run business, I started working for Aviation Ground Handling in 1991 after finishing school stayed within the same company until QAL acquired the business in November 2007. |

After finishing my bachelor of business in Tourism I worked for 5 years for Club Med Australia office in Sydney in the Finance department. During this time, I discovered a strength in the Finance area so enrolled in Uni part time to obtain my Accounting qualification. Since I have been able to combine both degrees working for a Gold Coast resort and travel company, before joining QAL 2 years ago |

Originally employed in the heavy equipment and mining industry out west of Mackay in both open cut and underground operations for 12 years as an Electrician, I then moved into the Electrical construction game on the coast at Townsville working within the refinery and large commercial industries until 4 years ago when I joined the Townsville Airport team as an Airport Services Officer (Electrical) maintaining both Townsville and Mt Isa Airports. |

My prime responsibility is to ensure the efficient and orderly operation of the Public and Staff Carparking Facilities at Townsville Airport, coupled with the provision of quality service to both Internal and External customers on a continual basis. |
| Best part of my job: |
To be in a position to offer friendly Service and Assistance to all Airport users, including many who I have dealt with countless times during my career spanning almost 32 years at Townsville Airport. |
| Most interesting experience: |
Working a fleet of 7 International Aircraft who were diverted to Townsville, thus dispelling the theory that our Run-way was too short to handle the gigantic Aircraft operating in that era. The task was carried out on a very early Xmas morning in the late Eighties in just 4 hours. |

They have demonstrated supreme confidence in the future of this area and poured a massive amount of capital in to its future growth. |
| Employment history: |
After being forced to leave school at 14 due to illness in the family and without Secondary Education I spent 7 Years as a Junior-Clerk in Queensland Railways, moving to a clerical position with Caltex Oil Australia and rising to the position of Retail Marketing Manager. I undertook study at QIT Brisbane graduating in Real Estate Law and Valuation. Once again illness reared its head and I travelled north joining Ansett Australia where I spent 25 years at Townsville Airport in the front line as a Customer Service Officer. Then an opportunity arose to join the then AAL and subsequently QAL with a total of almost 7 years in this current position |
